Faris admitted to SJMC

It has been a stressed week for me. Not only there's lot of new assignments at the office, Faris was admitted when we brought him to see Doc Ali at Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya, previously known as SJMC.

He started having flu on Sat when we went balik kg to Muar on 14 Mac, then came the occasional cough, and on Mon 16 Mac when I fetched him from the babysitter he was having difficulty breathing and I straight away brought him to Policlinic Medi Nur in Puchong. That nite he had difficulty sleeping and by morning the wheezing sound had become so bad that we decided to take him to Doc Ali in SJMC. After going to 1 round of nebuliser he's no better than before so the doc said he got to be admitted.

Checked with PMCare on Faris entitlement of the room and was informed that his is RM150 per day which means a double room in SJMC. We waited for almost 1 hour from the time we went to the admission counter to being able to go into the room. We were allocated with Room 288, Bed 1 and we were later told that being a double room only the mother can stay overnite which makes hubby very mad. It proves very difficult surviving in the double room with the kid on the next bed keep screaming away and with no one to take care of Faris when I want to do something else like doing business in the bathroom. The moment the kid screamed and wake up the light sleeper Faris, I straight away requested for a transfer to a single room. That nite, at one point I had to strapped Faris to the stroller while I went to the bathroom and another time when I just can hold it any longer, I put Faris on the floor beside the bed.

We got our wish the next day by 12 noon and was transferred to Room 248, 3 rooms away from 288. Doesnt care that costs RM230 per nite as long as I have peace, away from a screaming 1 year old. We stayed there for another 2 nites and when Friday came, I told the Doc that we want to discharge. He checked Faris and was not very happy with his condition, still got phlegms he said but will supply us with the necessary medication. At 11am a pharmasict came and explained how to use the ventolin inhaler together with the face chamber as Faris still not able to inhale the ventolin on his own. Another medication is the cough + flu syrup like the one given before, called hydroxyzine, a cream for the rashes on his face and packs of Singular to be mixed in his food at nite.

At 1 pm we are ready to be discharged and went down to settle the bill. The total comes to RM2400 something and we were told if there's any that we have to pay, they will inform us during our follow up appointment.

Finally, after 4 days of not going home., I am home at last.. Home Sweet Home..

Finally.. the Garden Project Took Off!!

After 3 failed attempt in obtaining a quotation from 3 different parties that hubby call to come to our house, we end up engaging the nursery near our area to do the garden (grass + landscaping). We stopped at the nursery on Sat last week around noon, and kak wati from the nursery came to our house arond 5.30pm to discuss the concept. The next day, she came to give the quotation and hubby agreed with her price (RM3 per sq ft to do EVERYTHING, considering our land now is in a forest-like state :P). That afternoon her worker came to spray the land and everything on it with Roundup.

2 days after that they cleared the land, all the lalang and semak samun is gone.. and the land looked totally cleared that the neighbour make a remark.. yeahhh right considering they are the one complaining about the semak samun to the Majlis Bandaran Sepang (we received a notice from them to clear our land the week before and I really dont think the Majlis people are soo rajin to come and round every house, UNLESS they receive a complain... such a useless neighbour).

On Friday, they delivered the grass (hubby choose pearl grass) and yesterday they brought the plants (bonsai, different types of heliconias, iris and other trees or plant that name I do not know) to be planted on the garden.. together with heaps of earth, sand, pebbles, black soil, and the slates. They planted some of the plants on Sat and arranged the slates at the area near the porch. We cant park our car inside now as it is full of everything that I desribed above. The porch are really messy now and even our sandal is full of earth stuck to it that make the porch even dirtier.

Today, they have added the earth to level the land and covered with sand the places to be planted with grass and for the plants, they added the top soil. By afternoon, they've started laying the grass on the sand with hubby monitoring and instructing them. They've put the slates into place too and it did looked nice on the grass.

They will continue the work on Tuesday since tomorrow is a public holiday. Cant wait to see the completed project. It will definitely look nice. At least compared to the forest-state like before :P

Not So Good Week

I was on medical leave last Thursday and Friday, 5 & 6th March.. not yet fully recovered from the coughing and flu that I had from 23 Feb (back from Cameron, I think I got it from Aiz), I was down with diarrea, a bad one that make me vomit, once on Thursday morning and 2nd time in the car, on the way back from sending Faris to the doctor at SJMC. Luckily I have sparred a plastic bag in the car, from the last time I got a severe headache that also made me wants to vomit, but luckily not. Oh, I met M.Nasir, wife Marlia and daughter at SJMC to see Faris's doc too. Their turn is right after ours.. and I must mention that M.Nasir is still a handsome man at 51 yrs old :)

In that condition, I still try to make the cheesecake(s) that I've promised my boss I'd make. I rest for awhile after coming back from SJMC and stated making it at 6pm.. but my condition is so bad that I have to lie down after standing up for a minute or so and making the 1st cake is a real torture.. and that's when I gave up and call my boss to say that I will not be able to make it. Luckily after that he sms'ed me saying his wife managed to find alternative cakes or otherwise I still have to do it for him.

This evening we went to my boss son's wedding at KGPA.. my appetite is not fully recovered yet.. so eating is not a fun affair.. hmm..
